Present at the 2020 MLA Annual Conference!

Thank you for your interest in submitting a proposal for the 2020 Conference.

The deadline to submit session proposals was June 18, 2020.


Session Details

  • Length: 50 minutes (appropriate for 1-3 speakers)
  • Format: May include single or multiple speakers, panel discussions, case studies, interactive hands-on activities, demonstrations of projects, etc.
  • Tags: Each presenter must provide 1-3 tags that would help conference attendees understand your session. Some examples are: technology, front-line staff, academic libraries.
  • Vendor Involvement: If you are a vendor who would like to submit a session proposal, you will need to be able to provide a local library affiliation in your proposal.


  • Proposals Due: June 18
  • Acceptance Notices Sent: July 13
  • Program Details Due: July 22
  • Handouts & Presentation Slides Due: Sept. 23

Submit one form for each session that you are interested in presenting or coordinating. Even if your previously submitted proposal does not need changes, please re-submit for this new round.

Proposals will be reviewed by the MLA Conference Program Planning Committee with input from the various MLA divisions and other subunits.
