Thank you for your interest in presenting to our Association!

The deadline to submit a proposal was May 1, 2017.

The MLA Annual Conference equips library staff with new ideas and tools to stay up-to-date and succeed in their careers. A presentation at the conference can have an immediate and lasting impact on local libraries. Please help shape the programs at the MLA 2017 Annual Conference!

This year’s theme is
Radical Librarianship - the power of libraries to provide access to the truth, strengthen our community voices, create opportunity for exploration and innovation, and assist our patrons to build a better future. How have you embodied these radical librarianship themes at your institution? Come share at the MLA conference.

Send in a Conference Proposal! Sessions will run 50 minutes (10 minutes less than previous years)—a length appropriate for 1-3 speakers. The format of the session may include presentations, panels, case studies, discussions, or hands-on activities.

Conference Session Criteria

Sessions are 50 minutes, and should cover topics of interest to MLA members. The format of the presentation can include single or multiple speakers, panel discussions, case studies, project demonstrations, etc.

Criteria for Acceptance

Conference session proposals will be reviewed for alignment with conference themes, coverage of topics of timeliness and interest to members, and credentials of presenter(s).

Session Times

Thursday, Oct. 5: TBD; Friday, Oct. 6: TBD
