Join us for Library Legislative Week  March 30th - April 3rd

Monday, March 30 at 6:30pm

Roseville Library, RV Community Meeting Room
Receive an update on library legislative issues from the MLA/ITEM lobbyist at 6:30 pm on Monday, March 30, with Sam Walseth. This verbal report will get you motivated and prepared to speak with your representatives. This briefing will be broadcast via Facebook Live and will repeat at 9:00 am on Tuesday, March 31 for those who are not able to join the evening gathering).

Tuesday, March 31st
MN State Capitol Building, L'Etoile Du Nord
Join your fellow Minnesota library supporters for our annual statewide library advocacy event to meet with elected officials at the Capitol. We need supporters like you from across the state!

We'll kick off the day with a repeat briefing from  the MLA/ITEM lobbyist at 9:00 am.  Appointments can be scheduled on your own or in coordination with your local regional library system (MLA does not coordinate appointments).

We'll also have a Library Fair complete with a meet and greet opportunity for  legislators, their staff, and advocates.  You'll have the opportunity to have your photo taken to be turned into a READ poster thanks to Minitex.

Round out the day with an informal de-brief Happy Hour.

More details coming soon!

Can't make it to the Capitol? You can still participate the entire week of March 30th - April 3rd through Virtual Legislative Week. Reach out to your legislators by phone, email, mail, Twitter, or other means all week long. Even if you do go to the Capitol, keep in touch the rest of the week! The Minnesota Advocacy website has sample tweets, letter templates, email samples, and other suggestions how to reach out.
