Don’t miss the powerhouse 2010 Exhibit Hall!
In keeping with tradition, the 2010 Annual Conference will be a wonderful continuing education opportunity for all staff from all types of libraries. The Exhibit Hall also offers attendees opportunities for learning, exploring new products and services for libraries, and networking. Here’s what you’ll be able to do in the 2010 Exhibit Hall:
- Look for new vendors such as Brainfuse, G.L. Berg Entertainment, Hiller Commercial Floors, and Mango Languages among the more than 30 scheduled to exhibit. Don’t forget to wear your conference t-shirt! Each vendor you stop to visit will give you an entry form for this year’s drawing. The prize is a $100 gift card from Barnes & Noble.
- Catch up with colleagues at the Vendor/Sponsor Reception from 5:15-6:30PM on Wednesday. Enjoy a performance by the Rose Ensemble while you’re there.
- Celebrate the launch of EASEL! Southeastern Libraries Cooperating (SELCO) and Southeastern Minnesota Visual Artists (SEMVA) are pleased to announce the launch of Experience Art in Southeastern Libraries (EASEL) at this year’s Minnesota Library Association Conference. Artwork will be on display during Exhibit Hall hours.
- Stay connected with the world outside the conference at the Internet Café. Thanks to the multitype library systems, you don’t need to bring your computer to Rochester. They’re bringing computers so you can stay in touch.
- Get some tips for staying healthy at Thursday’s Wellness Fair from 9:15AM-12:00PM.
- The Minnesota Visiting Nurses Association will be on hand to prepare you for flu season with a flu shot. (Learn more at http://mnlibraryassociation.org/2010-activities/#fair.)
- Worried about your memory? Get some brain fitness tips from the Alzheimer’s Association.
- The Mayo Clinic Bookstore is bringing the newest books and gadgets for staying fit.
- Need a chair massage after sitting in sessions? Stop by the Wellness Fair for this and much more.
- Enjoy an Irish traditional music trio featuring Paddy O’Brien (button accordion), Nathan Gourley (fiddle), and Dáithí Sproule (guitar & vocals) while you lunch with the exhibitors from 11:15AM to 12:00PM on Thursday.
- Support the Minnesota Library Foundation by shopping the Silent Auction or purchasing a raffle ticket. Get your holiday shopping done early, take home a memento of the 2010 Annual Conference, or just buy something to support the great work of the Foundation.
The Exhibit Hall is open Wednesday 1:00-6:30PM and Thursday 9:15AM-3:30PM.
