Nancy Walton, State Librarian, and Jym Wroblewski, LSTA Grant Administrator would like your input on the Minnesota Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) 2013-2017 Five-Year Plan. The plan is required by the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) for LSTA funds and addresses the state’s current and near-future projections of the needs of end-users and strategies to meet those needs.

Seven authors and storytellers featured in the book Libraries of Minnesota will speak at the fifth annual Lunch for Libraries Wednesday, June 13 at Kagin Commons, Macalester College in St. Paul.

More than 150 participants gathered at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum on April 27 for ARLD Day 2012. With the theme of Transliteracy: Constructing Knowledge and Networks, we had a great keynote from Lane Wilkinson from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. We had nine breakout sessions and a fast-paced lightning round.

Julie Gilbert, an academic librarian and assistant professor at Gustavus Adolphus College, has been named the recipient of the second annual Academic Innovators Award, given by the Academic and Research Libraries Division (ARLD) of the Minnesota Library Association.
