10:15–10:45 Icebreaker: Share a book you’ve read that wasn’t in the mystery genre but turned out to be a mystery, or one that you’d recommend as a mystery that is not catalogued mystery.
10:45–12:00 R.A. 2.0: Readers’ Advisory and Technology with Jennifer Hootman (from Minitex) and others
12:00–1:00 Lunch

About the Speakers:

Julie KramerStalking SusanJulie Kramer, Minnesota Book Award-winning author of Stalking Susan, has garnered praise from notable fellow mystery writers such as Tami Hoag, Vince Flynn, and John Sandford. Currently she’s a freelance news producer for NBC’s Today show, Nightly News, and Dateline, but prior to that she was a national award-winning investigative producer for WCCO-TV in Minneapolis. Barbara FisterIn the WindBarbara Fister is both a librarian and a mystery writer. She’s worked at Gustavus Adolphus since 1987 where she coordinates the library instruction program, provides reference services, and teaches classes on information literacy and International Crime Fiction. Her first mystery, In the Wind, published in 2008, was called by the Chicago Tribune “an understated crime-fiction gem… powered by a highly intelligent story line…” A sequel, Through the Cracks, will be released in May, 2010.
